Field's first prayer

Field said his first prayer tonight!!! We are sitll learning how to pray regularly as a family, and sometimes we forget. Field often tells us "That was a good one" when either of us finishes, but he has been reluctant to chime in. Tonight we read Bearnstein Bears "Say their Prayers" and apparently it moved him. I kissed him good night and he reminded me that we hadn't prayed yet.

Me: What do you want to pray for?
Him: Dayton.
Me: ok, you can say, Dear Jesus, I pray for Dayton.
Him: Dear Jesez. I pray for Dayton.
Me: anyone else?
Him: yes. and mommy.
me: ok, dear Jesus, I pray for mommy.
Him: Dear Jesez, I pray for Mommy...

Daddy was next, then Maggie and Marley, then Nonno and Nonna, then "my new friends, the girls"(hahaha), then Mr. Ben (not sure where that came from, but it was very sweet). Then he said he was done.

Being so moved by his sweetness, I told him I was going to say one more prayer.

Me: Lord, thank you for giving me such a sweet boy, my Field, and for putting the love of Jesus in his heart. Amen.
Him: and Dayton too.
Me: Yes, and thank you for my sweet boy Dayton too.
Him: And Dayton has Jesus in his heart too.
Me (almost speechless): Yes, thank you Lord for Dayton having Jesus in his heart too. Amen.
Him: Amen.
